TeachingThe Significance Of Connectedness
The Anti-Christ Spirit ... is against You!

[All scriptures quoted from NASB unless otherwise noted.]
For some time now, I have not been able to get away from studying the book of Esther.
I have gone back to it time and time again. One of the things the
Holy Spirit has highlighted to me in this passage of scripture is the
working of the anti-Christ spirit - how
it worked then and now.
Anti-Semitic Spirit at Work
From the events recorded for us in Esther, we know that Haman hated Mordecai. Haman's
hatred seethed each time he would pass Mordecai and Mordecai would not
bow to him as everyone else did. Haman also knew why Mordecai would not
bow to him, which caused him to hate not only Mordecai but his people -
the Jews. Esther 3:6 tells us:

One of the most powerful principles you could possibly build your life on is to allow God to define success for you, not your environment, carnal mind, friends, family or even foes. Read more.. weeding your garden
Yesterday as I was weeding my flower beds, I was reminded of lessons the Holy
Spirit taught me many years ago while doing the same task. I thought they might
be good to share with others.

"He shall judge the world in righteousness..." (Ps. 9:8) Part of
developing as a normal individual is the ability to accept certian aspects of
life as objective realities. Fire burns, oil is greasy and rotten eggs smell.
Getting your driver's license for instance has to do with proving to the authorities
your ability to both operate a vehicle and to know and keep the rules of traffic
laws. Left is left, red means stop and so on. There really is no room to be
philosophical about these categories in life. You either accept them and live
accordingly or you don't and sooner or later you crash, hurting yourself and
others.

Much has been written and said on the use and abuse of authority in the Church.
But first, let’s clarify what “Church” I have in mind. I think
of “church” as the Body of Christ, not the traditional institutions
of Rome or Constantinople. Unfortunately, after approximately 500 years of Protestant
tradition, we now have Protestant denominations who are no less institutional
than the great old Catholic and Eastern Orthodox traditions.

Many today are attempting to say that the "temple" is not important.
They try to deal with the problem of dead churches and dead Christianity by
scrapping the whole idea with the temple. Recently I was sharing with someone
how dissatisfied I am with the Sunday morning format of what we call "church"
today. Then went on to explain to him how I'm still busy planting churches.
He looked at me and said: "So why would you still work to build the temple?".
This brother is totally immersed in the "marketplace" revolution and
in his mind there couldn't be one good reason for someone to want to work toward
planting churches.
