Ministry Update from Arnold Sigik, representative of the apostolic network of GEORGE BAKALOV MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL in Solo, Indonesia.

Dear friends,
 
On Sunday the 3rd this month, we went to visit Ps. Simon and his church. He was having a Sunday Service on 7.30 am, yes it is quiet early in the morning. 4 of us went there and gave him and his church a surprise visit, Dina my wife, Juan my son and Grandma my in-law. When we arrive there, the service already started. At least a song or two have been being sung. With a room of only about 3 meters width and 6-7 meters length, there are about 25-30 people. They even have a full set of band for the worship. Into the tight front-terrace, we saw some boxes piling up. They are a new set of tiles. When I asked Ps. Simon about this.. they are the tiles of the new public toilet.  Wow.. it’s been just about a week after I got back from Sofia. Coming back with an offering for Ps. Simon, hoping that the fund would do some good for him and his people. And now, they are actually starting to build the project already.

 
So, they have started this project since about 2-3 days after they received the fund. He himself that went to buy the materials, I told him and his wife personally that he needs to have all the receipt and a complete financial report in return once the project is done. They need to report to me, ha! He was just laughing and said that yes for sure. He managed to have not only his own people from the church to do the labor but also somehow the people from the neighborhood regardless the religion they have. He told me that he wants all of them to work together so they can have this sense of belonging of the public toilet since they are the one (the people) that are going to use it mostly. He does hire some experts to do some construction work for the important parts of the public toilet. They even scheduled the working-together-time after the Sunday service and they all take turn in doing the labor. Wow.. Ps. Simon does have a good leading skill to make all this people work together. Slava na bok!
 
You can see some pictures below from the service on Sunday to the work they are doing on this project plus the materials they have purchased. Ps. Simon told me that they are trying to finish the project with whatever they have received already before the 28 of October. There will be a celebration of Community Festive in this neighborhood and he wants to use it to ‘launch’ the new public toilet for the neighborhood. For sure, there would be some government officers and lots of people gathering there...Muslims and Christians. I will be there as well and take pictures and shoot videos for all of you as well.
 
So, through this short email.. I would like to say thank you for your love and commitment, your offering and prayer to Ps. Simon and his church. He is doing great things with the offering you have given, and it is not only going to help his church and his people but for sure for the neighborhood around his church and his people. The project already started, we will be seeing the full result in the next few weeks. May God bless you and the Prelom churh abundantly because it is yes, the PRELOM for Ps. Simon and his church is coming now!
