HONG KONG, China - This statement is being released in light of the recent events surrounding Mr. Ashley
McGuicken, his ministry and some of the consequences it has had on parts of the Body of Christ.

I came to know Ashley McGuicken in 2002 when I visited his ministry in Holland at his invitation. Upon familiarizing myself with the nature of his ministry, the people it represented and the history behind it, it became obvious to me that this was a leader and a group with potential to become a factor in the advancement of the work of God in Europe and around he world.

Our church in Bulgaria hosted Ashley McGuicken and his team on three separate occasions, in addition to other international conventions which I moderated in Europe.

In 2003 Ashley came to a summit for European leaders in Oslo, where I introduced him to Dr. Peter Wagner, founder and president of the International Coalition of Apostles (ICA). The purpose of the ICA is to create a way for apostles and apostolic ministries around the world to connect with each other, to bring legitimacy to this growing movement and to offer a place of accountability, which all leaders need.
Mr. McGuicken was accepted as a member of the ICA at my recommendation. It was apparent that the churches who were under the banner of Capitol Worship Center at that time, were isolated and used to mostly receive spiritually from their founder and ministers from within their movement. Knowing this, I encouraged Ashley to open himself and the churches he was overseeing to other ministers from the ICA. This didn't happen. Mr. McGuicken never attended a single meeting of the ICA and is currently no longer a member of the ICA.

In 2005 I received the news that Ashley is experiencing difficulties in his marriage and family. An accusation was brought forth that he is promoting a doctrine of multiple marriages being the will of God, which teaching I personally see as a direct attack on the Biblical teaching on the marriage institution as a the union between one man and one woman. I made an attempt to make a personal contact with Ashley and to try to be of help to him personally and to the movement. I tried to gather as many facts as possible and make my own independent opinion.

Mr. McGuicken didn't respond to my attempt to help at which point I sent him an official letter letting him know that I am terminating my relationship to him and his ministry.

We were saddened to find out earlier this year that after years of successfully concealing the true nature of his marital problems, Ashley McGuicken has finally decided to break his marriage covenant to his lawful wife, while simultaneously nurturing a relationship with another woman. All reports seem to confirm that Mr. McGuicken has now has entered into a marriage with the woman he has had a relationship with while still legally married to his former wife.

I grieve for the lives that have been hurt, the children of this broken family, as well as the believers who have trusted and followed the leadership of Ashley McGuicken. It is apparent that he has committed the sin of adultery and has therefore discredited and disqualified himself as a minister of the Gospel and a bishop over churches.

Out of love for the Body of Christ, I have tried to bring healing to as many lives as possible among the people of the former movement led by Ashley McGuicken. There are of course many more I haven't had any contact with.

In conclusion, as a minister of the Lord Jesus Christ and on the basis of my previous and present involvement with members of the family of churches which were in the past under the authority of bishop Ashley McGuicken, I’M CALLING FOR:

- Mr. Ashley McGuicken to immediately step down from all forms of ministry and to stop deceiving Christians. He has fallen from grace, he has lost his credibility and the fruit of his life is the proof itself.

- Mr. McGuicken to stop harassing and intimidating members of the ministry formerly known as 'Capitol Royal Dynasty' and instead to repent of his adulterous affair, false teachings and the destruction of his natural and spiritual family.

- All ministers and believers who used to be associated with the ministry of Ashley McGuicken to formally break their ties with the past, to stop supporting this fraudulent minister and to find a place of healing and integration with the Body of Christ.

- All Christians in the Body of Christ to show mercy, love and understanding for members of this movement who have gone through serious abuse at the hands of an autocratic leader who has taken advantage of the trust and love of precious brothers and sisters in the Lord.

We pray for the restoration of lives who have been affected through this tragedy and we pray for the love of God to triumph over the sin of man!
